A pseudo-human goat's eye, illuminated by an ornate frame. Suspended on a 24" dapped bar & link chain. Hand painted stoneware & sterling silver.
The carved frames of the Vignettes are intentionally rough-hewn, with artifacts of their making across the piece, tool marks and evidence of my hand as a history of its creation. An artist's mark making is as unique and special as the image they create, especially in illustrations and 2D work. It is my intention to imbue these 3D pieces with a little bit of that sentiment, a true marriage of my two worlds.
